Participant Associations of the Atlantic Alliance

The Alliance Participant Associations - These are made up of the current and future membership from each Association and each elect at least one (1) person to the Council.

  • The Physician Participant Association - Made up of Independent and small and medium sized physicians groups (<100) who have joined the Alliance. This group would elect at least 1 member to the council. Members of the association complete a practice assessment survey to determine how their practice is positioned in the transformation to value based care and patient centered medical home concepts. Based on the results of that evaluation. Practices are paired with one of our underlying contracting entities where they will be most likely to succeed.
  • The Delivery System Participant Association - Made up of other health systems or Hospitals and their associated PHO’s or employed physician groups, as well as large physician groups with over 100 providers and multiple locations. This association would elect a minimum of 1 member to the council, from each major participant. Primary care practices which are part of the delivery system participant of the association complete a practice assessment survey to determine how those practices are positioned in the transformation to value based care and patient centered medical home concepts. Based on the results of that evaluation, we will recommend to the member which contracting entity the system participant would be most likely to succeed in. A network participation agreement would then be executed between the delivery system participant and the contracting entity.
  • The Large Employer Participant Association - Made up of physician representatives from the corporate health department of local large employers interested in shaping the direction of health care delivery in our region and particularly for the corporation’s employee base. This association would elect a minimum of 1 member to the council, from each major participant.

As the membership in these associations grow, we would expect the representation on the council to increase over time.
