The Contracting Entities for the Atlantic Alliance

These are the current and future operational entities whose physicians are members of the CIN. These include at present:

  • Vista Independent Practice Association: (Vista) a messenger model IPA with current membership of over 600 physicians in NJ. Vista was formed in the 1990’s and has been one of the longest lived and most successful IPA’s in NJ. Membership in Vista IPA is a prerequisite to membership or participation in Optimus Healthcare Partners ACO. Vista IPA, because of the quality of its physician membership base, has enjoyed excellent relationships with all major payers in NJ.
  • Atlantic ACO (AACO): an accountable care organization wholly owned by Atlantic Health System, with physician majority membership on its Board of Managers. Current membership includes 2044 physicians. It holds commercial, Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP) and Medicare Advantage (MA) contracts. Atlantic ACO has paid out over 30 Million Dollars in additional value based payments to its physicians since beginning operations in 2013.Atlantic ACO membership requires maintaining staff privileges at one of the Atlantic Health System Hospitals
  • Optimus Healthcare Partners ACO: (OHP) an accountable care organization with 559 physicians. Majority owned by Physicians with AHS as an additional shareholder. It holds commercial, MSSP and MA contracts. Optimus ACO has paid out over 25 Million Dollars in additional value based payments to its physicians since beginning operations in 2013, and has achieved shared savings distributions in the MSSP program every year since 2013.
  • Healthcare Quality Partners (HQP): a new MSSP Track 1+ ACO in 2018 with a MSSP contract. It is an Advanced Alternative Payment Model ACO taking risk. It is wholly owned by (AHS) with 72 physician participants, with a physician majority Board of Managers. As an Advanced alternative payment model, participants will avoid MIPS reporting and be eligible for an automatic 5% Medicare FFS increase in 2020.
  • AHS Health Network LLC: (AHN) is an organized delivery system as defined by the State of NJ, which allows it to contract for commercial risk arrangements. It is currently in development and has no active members, but will be the vehicle for commercial risk arrangements in the future.
